Catholic High School

Community & Enrichment

At St Alban's we view the wider education of students as being as important as the academic subjects they study.

We aim to develop the whole child into someone who is ready to enter the world outside of school as a rounded, balanced individual who can empathise with others and has developed skills to enable them to participate fully in their communities.

Our Catholic ethos demands that we aim to enrich the spirituality of our students. Our Inclusion Specialism has allowed us to develop community projects, foster strong bonds with partner organisations and create opportunities for students to have positive experiences. Development of cross year group activity has allowed students to develop their skills of team working and peer support.

Provision is made for students who have Special Educational Needs, and this includes those who are gifted and talented.

Activity days have added a dimension to our work, and allow opportunity to experience events which otherwise would not be part of the school curriculum.
