HEADTEACHER’S WELCOME

As the new Headteacher, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our school website.  St Alban’s Catholic High School is a voluntary aided co-educational school for students aged 11 to 18 with the aim of serving the Catholic community in the Ipswich locality within the diocese of East Anglia. We are a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted, April 2024) and whilst there have been many changes over the years, this is because we strive for excellence. We are a modern school with traditional values based on our Catholic ethos. As Headteacher, I have high expectations for all our students, demanding the very best from everyone and, in return, as a school, we will provide the best educational experience to make a positive difference to the lives of young people on a day-to-day basis.

At St Alban’s Catholic High School, we pride ourselves on being a culturally diverse family of learners, both students and staff alike. As a learning community, we share and use our gifts and talents for the greater good of everyone. As a Catholic school, we place Christ at the heart of all we do and pay particular attention to the spiritual development of all our community. Our school is inclusive and is made up of a rich fabric of many different faiths, who all share common values and this resonates with our mission statement. We believe that Jesus Christ and his Gospel Call to love God and love all people are at the heart of what we do. He inspires us as children of God, to uphold the dignity of each individual. We strive to develop a community in Christ which fully supports all in achieving their full potential.
