The EPQ

Alongside their A-Levels, many students choose to take the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) which is a standalone qualification valued by universities and employers across the UK and overseas.

The EPQ is an in-depth, independent project that allows students to:

  • Explore a topic of their own choosing (academic or creative)
  • Develop a research question or project brief
  • Plan and manage their work over several months
  • Present their findings in a written report and presentation

As well as carrying UCAS points, it is particularly important in developing academic skills such as research, referencing and deep-dive learning.
