FAQs about Joining St Alban's

After holding our recent Open Morning events we wanted to answer a few repeat questions that some of you had and clear up a few points regarding the school and its admissions criteria.

We cannot apply, as we are out of catchment

-

Not True St Alban's does not have a catchment. Our current pupils travel to us from all across Ipswich, Felixstowe and surrounding areas. Whether it be by foot, cycle, car or train, St Alban's is open to all areas.

We are not Catholic, so we cannot apply

-

Not True We ask each member of our school to support our Catholic ethos while welcoming all faiths and beliefs. Inclusivity and diversity are at the heart of St Alban's.

St Alban's does not have a Sixth Form

-

Not True The Sixth Form at St Alban's is a thriving post 16 education facility that we are extremely proud of. We would of course love your children to continue their journey with us after their GCSEs in year 11. This year we have welcomed a record number to our Sixth Form.
