School Mission Statement We aim to inspire everyone with the strength and purpose to begin the journey of learning for life and to prepare our students to lead by their example in the modern world. Chaplaincy |
- Reflection days
Every tutor group has a day of Reflection organised by the Chaplain. This is a chance to get to know each other better, and take time out to reflect on faith and life.
- Sacrament of reconciliation
This is celebrated at school during Advent and Lent. Usually, each year group have an assembly with scripture readings and guided examination of conscience; then students who wish to go to confession are given an individual appointment with a priest.
- Expectations
As a Catholic School we expect all students, whatever their own faith or background, to show respect and reverence during religious services.
- The Chapel
This is used for tutor groups’ masses, sometimes tutor group prayers, at the start of staff training days and for private reflection. There is a book in which pupils can write prayers.
- Sports Facilities
In 2010 the school has open a newly refurbished and extended Sports hall with Fitness Room. The school field is used extensively for PE lessons and extracurricular activity.
- Academic Results
St Alban's has an excellent reputation in pupil achievement. At GCSE results have been consistently above National figures, results at both AS and A Level are amongst the best in the country. More detail can be found on the 'Results' page under 'Latest News'
