School Council

The Council meets every other Thursday at lunchtime in R1.

Members are drawn from across the school year groups.

There is a Chairperson, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Marketing team.

We manage a budget and plan events.  Our current action plan is shown below.

Action to support the community

The big tidy up campaign
Assemblies by School Council, ask for a period 4 to carry out tidy up campaign -

 

School council lead whole school,
Teams from each form to litter pick, scrape chewing gum of desks, rub paint work and desks, clean windows etc
Also environment outside – weeding and gardening teams – chapel area team to dig and plant. Liaison with Mr Denny and ground staff.

 

Provisionally – Spring?

Start to organise now – talk to Mr Denny, staff on board publicise, market, assess interest and generate enthusiasm.

 

Buy equip – bags, scrapers, polish

School council develops a musical roadshow event
Develop a show which can travel – i.e. in St Albans assemblies, primary assemblies, concerts and events, led by Council members with year 7/8 as target membership.
