Work Experience
Year 10 do their Work Experience during the month of March.
Mrs Barber is the Work Experience Co-ordinator and works in the Careers Office on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Work Experience Placements are found on the website http://suffolk.learnaboutwork.org
Once a permission slip has been returned and signed by a parent/carer the student will be given an individual pin number to access the website. The permission slip can be downloaded from the downloads section.
This site enables a student to look at all the employers in Suffolk that have taken a work experience student in the past. We cannot guarantee they will take your child as employers' circumstances change from year to year.
The student should make three selections and put in order of preference. This can then be accessed by Mrs Barber who will notify the student when a placement has been confirmed.
Points to note when making selections:
-
If you hover over the # symbol when making your selection it will tell you how many other students have also chosen this placement. If a number of other students have picked this then choose something else
-
Please check the address of the placement – there is no point in choosing if you cannot get there every day
-
If you know somebody that has offered to give you a work experience placement please see Mrs Barber with the contact details
